LOS ANGELES (AP) — Dodgers right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto has a strained rotator cuff. Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts disclosed the injury Sunday, adding that tests did not show a tear. The injury was initially described as triceps tightness before the strain was diagnosed. Yamamoto was placed on the 15-day injured list before Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Kansas City. He will not throw for a couple of weeks. The 25-year-old Yamamoto is playing his first year in the majors after departing his native Japan and signing a record $325 million, 12-year contract. He’s 6-2 with a 2.92 ERA.
