Man accused of ramming truck into woman’s vehicle several times charged with domestic assault

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Miller County man was charged with first-degree domestic assault and second-degree property damage after he allegedly rammed his truck into a woman’s vehicle on Tuesday.

A warrant was issued on Wednesday for Brent Whittle, of Brumley. He was not listed on the Cole County Jail online roster on Wednesday afternoon and is listed as “at large” in court documents. A court date has not been set.

Whittle is accused of ramming his truck into another vehicle several times while traveling on a public road in Cole County. The road was not listed in court documents. The victim called law enforcement and allegedly stated that Whittle crashed into her vehicle at least seven times. The victim and Whittle were previously in a relationship, according to the probable cause statement.

The victim allegedly told Cole County Sheriff’s deputies that she passed Whittle on the road and then saw him turn around to follow her, the statement says. Damage at the back of the victim’s vehicle was seen by law enforcement.

Deputies couldn’t find Whittle, but found his truck in a wooded area, the statement says. There was damage to the front of the vehicle.

The statement says Whittle is on probation. Court records show he pleaded guilty in Miller County on March 12 to first-degree property damage and was sentenced to supervised probation for five years, with a seven-year suspended sentence.
