Tracking dry time ahead of early week storms
TODAY: Another isolated rain chance is expected to the west in the late morning and early afternoon hours. Most of our area will stay dry as temperatures warm into the mid-80s.
TOMORROW: A weakening line of storms tracks in early Monday and may manage to produce strong winds in the morning. As this system falls apart in central Missouri it will leave fine-scale boundaries in the vicinity, which could reignite scattered storms through the afternoon. We'll hold onto a low risk of strong winds all day. Highs remain above average in the mid-80s.
EXTENDED: Tuesday will have another chance at afternoon scattered showers and storms that last into Wednesday morning. After this, a dry pattern is anticipated throughout the rest of the week. Northerly winds will be prominent in the back half of the week, which will keep temperatures more seasonal in the low 80s.
