HERMANN, Mo. (KMIZ)

A section of Route 19 in Hermann will close on Monday for a bridge replacement project.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is reminding drivers that Route 19 over Frene Creek will close for all traffic starting June 3 and going through mid-August.

A post on X states a detour sign will direct motorists to Route 100 and Route Z while the construction takes place.

MoDOT crews will be replacing the deck and superstructure of the Frene Creek Bridge, built in 1930. Pedestrian facilities will also be upgraded to meet ADA compliance.
