Tracking daily rain chances and warmer weather

TODAY: We're tracking mostly dry conditions to start the day, but showers and a few thunderstorms will become more likely this afternoon. Temperatures climb into the upper 70s today, held in check by increasing clouds and rain chances.

TONIGHT: Scattered showers and thunderstorms persist through sunrise. Temperatures are held in the low 60s, with a southeast breeze.

EXTENDED: Winds turn more northerly Saturday morning, behind the area of low pressure that is leaving, and taking rain with it. Showers will generally come to an end by mid-morning, with clouds clearing shortly after. Skies may be mostly sunny by Saturday afternoon, with highs in the upper 70s. We'll be dry through most of Sunday, but isolated to widely scattered storms likely return Sunday afternoon and evening. Sunday is mostly dry with a high in the mid-80s. Early next week will be warm and muggy, with southerly flow contributing to highs in the mid-80s and high dewpoints. Additionally rain chances return daily Monday through Wednesday morning. Rain chances and humidity fall behind a cold front on Wednesday morning, with drier weather late in the day through Thursday.
