Tracking quiet weather, rain returning Friday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with lows in the lower to mid-50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and quite pleasant with highs in the upper 70s.

EXTENDED: High pressure keeps things nice around here for the next few days as highs reach the upper 70s to around 80 with sunshine through Thursday. Our next system approaches on Friday, bringing a chance of showers and perhaps a rumble of thunder by afternoon, but severe weather isn't expected. We'll see chances of scattered showers and storms over the weekend, but dry time can be expected in between as a few disturbances roll through the region. We'll see a more organized shot at rain early next week, but by mid-next week we should enter a more summer like pattern as upper high pressure locks in overhead, giving us a stretch of dry and hot weather for the first week of June.
