Power outages, flooding, and large hail reported across Mid-Missouri Sunday
Severe storms worked across Mid-Missouri Sunday afternoon after the morning round brought heavy rain and power outages.
Very large hail was reported near the Lake of the Ozarks, with egg size reported in Osage Beach, and golf ball to baseball size hail around Laurie and Gravois Mills.
Several hundred were without power before 7:00 p.m. in Morgan, Miller, Phelps, Montgomery, and Pulaski counties.
A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Maries, Phelps, and Miller counties until 11:00 p.m., and Camden until 9:00 p.m. 1-2" of rain fell in those areas with 3-4"/hour rainfall rates. Streets in Iberia were flooded as of 5:30 p.m.
Power lines were reported down at Crosswinds Drive in Brumley around 5:45. The map below shows all of the storm reports - flooding, hail, wind, and tornadoes over the last 24 hours.
The severe threat for Mid-Missouri continues to diminish south of I-44.
