Tracking several storm chances this weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: Friday is an ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day. We'll have the potential for strong to severe storms producing wind, hail, and tornadoes as storms develop along a cold front. Temperatures will climb into the low-to-mid 80s before the cold front passes.

TONIGHT: Behind the cold front, temperatures will cool into the 50s with clear skies. The risk of storms drops by sundown.

EXTENDED: Saturday is sunny and dry with highs around 80 degrees. Storms hold off until late in the night, likely after midnight into Sunday. A complex of storms will track through early Sunday morning bringing a threat of damaging winds and hail and possibly tornadoes. Storm activity will linger into Sunday and Memorial Day on Monday but the risk of stronger storms drops by that time.
