Tracking isolated storms and a warmup over the weekend

TODAY: Starting with clearing skies and calm conditions this morning, some patchy dense fog is present this morning. Some limited instability present this afternoon will promote some isolated to widely scattered storms that will primarily be focused near I-44 this afternoon and evening. A rogue storm is possible near Columbia and Jefferson City, but most of Friday is dry. Severe weather is not expected. Winds are variable through the day, but generally turn from the south by late day.

TONIGHT: Skies clear out again tonight, with temperatures falling into the low 60s.

EXTENDED: Continued south winds and sunshine will drive temperatures into the 80s on Saturday. A weak cold front drifts in Saturday night bringing an isolated shower or two, but our rain chances are very low. Sunday is even warmer, with highs in the upper 80s, approaching 90. We may get there in terms of feels like temperature. Rain chances return Monday morning before another day in the 80s. Better storm chances return Tuesday. Highs are likely in the 80s through Thursday, with drier weather in store Wednesday and Thursday.
