Columbia is a college town as much as any, and it shows in the summer.
The University of Missouri held its spring graduation ceremonies over the weekend. Now thousands of students have skipped town -- and MU is just one of a few higher ed institutions in Columbia.
Of course, students and in-semester activity also power a lot of Columbia's economy, making summer not so great for some business owners.
