Wehmeyer Drive at Highway 94 in Jefferson City to close next week

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Construction crews will close Wehmeyer Drive at Highway 94 in Jefferson City on Wednesday to realign the entrance into Hitachi Energy, according to a Friday press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The road will be closed for five days, according to the release.

A left-turn lane is being added to westbound Highway 94 to improve traffic safety and mitigate traffic back-ups during peak hours, the release says.

The construction is part of the Highway 54 Improvement Projects in Jefferson City, the release says.
