Tracking a quiet stretch of days with cooler temperatures

TODAY: Thursday is partly cloudy and cooler behind the cold front tied to Wednesday's storms. Expect a high in the low 70s.

TONIGHT: Overnight, clouds may be a bit more persistent from the north, and some may see a quick passing light shower. Otherwise, we're mostly dry, with lows in the low 50s.

EXTENDED: Friday will be another day much like Thursday, with a chance at a spot shower or two, but mostly dry and some sunshine. Highs are near 70. Saturday will be similar as well, with partly cloudy skies and a high in the low 70s. Our next rain chances don't come until at soonest Sunday morning. Still, better chances return later in the evening, and continue into Monday, when our rain chances are greatest. This will be a trough of low pressure that pulls in more warmth early next week as well. Sunday and Monday are in the upper 70s. We may have a few rumbles of thunder Sunday and Monday, but severe weather is not currently expected. Chances for rain linger, but are uncertain towards the middle of next week, as they are tied to smaller shortwave features in the atmosphere, and will likely change greatly over the next several days.
