Tracking the exit of severe storms, nicer and cooler weather the rest of the week
TONIGHT: Severe weather exits the area before sunset. Clouds gradually clear with lows falling into the lower 50s.
TOMORROW: Partly cloudy with a chance for a few sprinkles in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s to around 70.
EXTENDED: Severe thunderstorms are possible south of I-70 through about 7:00 p.m. as a front pushes southeast. We'll be left cooler overnight with lows falling down into the 50s. A weak front drops in from the north tomorrow, bringing a few more clouds and a chance for a few sprinkles during the day. Friday is looking clear and beautiful with highs in the lower 70s. Another weak front moves through on Saturday, keeping temperatures in the lower 70s. High pressure builds in for Sunday and slides to the south, warming temperatures to near 80 for Mother's Day. Next week starts off dry, but another storm system sliding by to our south could bring another shot at rain on Tuesday.
