Tracking one more round of storms this week

TODAY: After storms this morning, some clouds will linger before clearing skies build sunshine through the day with highs reaching to just near 80.

TONIGHT: Skies remain clear overnight, with lows falling into the 50s.

EXTENDED: Another area of low pressure moves in on Wednesday. Ahead of it, a warm front will drive temperatures upwards toward 80. Currently, it's looking like the low will push the highest severe threat east of I-44, maybe bringing a line of marginally severe storms through during the morning hours. Then a greater threat for severe returns south of St. Louis towards southern Illinois. Temperatures may try to reach 80, before cooling through the afternoon. Thursday will be cooler and drier, with highs in the 70s under partly cloudy skies. We'll stay quiet and cool with mostly dry conditions and 70s through the weekend.
