Moberly man accused of trying to use drugs to bribe women for sex

A Moberly man was charged on Monday after authorities claim he tried to exchange drugs for sex with a woman.

Robert Polhill, 57, was charged with trafficking for the purposes of sexual exploitation, drug possession and keeping or maintaining a public nuisance. He is being held at the Randolph County Jail on a $25,000 bond. A court date has not been set.

According to the probable cause statement, Polhill allegedly tried to exchange methamphetamine with two women between March 29-April 5 for sexual acts. The statement says one of the women went into Polhill’s bedroom while another woman at the scene did not enter. The woman came out of the bedroom with 1.75 grams of meth and $50, the statement says.

One of the women told law enforcement that she went back to the residence to try to borrow gas and money, the statement says. Polhill allegedly was laying naked in his bed and allegedly told the woman that he would not give her money, but would give her meth for sexual acts, in which the woman decline, the statement says.

Moberly police executed a search warrant on Sunday, where they allegedly found meth and an “abundance” of sexual devices, the statement says.
