Man seriously injured in ATV crash Friday night

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Sunrise Beach man suffered seriously injured in an ATV crash in Camden County Friday night.

James Grant Jr., 43, was illegally driving a 2014 Polaris Sportsman around 7:15 p.m. on Cozy Cove Rd. when he failed to successfully turn left, causing the ATV to go off the side of the road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Grant Jr. fell out of the ATV before it went back onto the road and stopped.

Grant Jr. suffered serious injuries from the crash and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance. According to the report, he was not using a safety device.
