RECALL ROUNDUP: Apple juice, Ford Mavericks and dog eyelid wipes recalled
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Martinelli's Apple Juice
Martinelli has recalled its one-liter glass bottles of apple juice.
The company issued the recall because the product has higher arsenic levels than is allowed by the Food and Drug Administration. Federal Health Officials say exposure to arsenic can be harmful to your health, especially to young children's brain development.
Martinelli says the recalled bottles were sold at Wal-Mart, Gerbes and Target and have "best buy" dates of March 9 and 10, 2026.
Those who have questions about the recall are urged to call the company.
Ford Maverick Pickup Trucks
Ford has recalled more than 243,000 Maverick trucks.
The automaker said the vehicles are recalled because the tail light may not illuminate, which can put drivers at risk of getting into a crash.
However, the issue does not affect the truck's brake lights or turn signals. The recall affects 2022, 2023 and 2024 models. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said dealerships will update the software for free to fix the issue.
Ford stated owners will be notified by mail, beginning May 20.
Bausch + Lomb Project Watson Eyelid Wipes for dogs
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled about 32,000 boxes of Bausch + Lomb Project Eyelid Wipes for Dogs.
Federal Regulators say the wipes can grow bacteria and fungi in the container, which puts those with weakened immune systems at risk of infection.
The recalled wipes were sold at Pet Smart, Walmart and other stores nationwide and online at Chewy and Amazon from February 2023 to March 2024. The company says those who own the wipes should stop using them immediately and submit a request for a full refund.
