A Columbia man was charged on Friday after he allegedly cut woman multiple times with a box cutter knife.

Police responded to the home in the 200 block of Park Avenue around 4:30 a.m. on Friday after a woman called and told police she was being stabbed.

The victim was taken to the hospital and was sent to the trauma unit, according to court documents.
