Tracking frost potential Saturday and Sunday nights
TODAY: We're partly cloudy and mild Saturday, with highs in the upper 50s, near 60. A northeast breeze around 10-15 mph keeps us cool this afternoon.
TONIGHT: Skies remain partly cloudy overnight, with clearing towards sunrise. Temperatures fall into the 30s as skies clear and winds calm. We'll be risk for frost, especially in the north and in lower lying areas.
EXTENDED: Sunday's highs are slightly warmer, as we see more sunshine and a lighter breeze. Temperatures land in the low 60s by the afternoon. Sunday night/ Monday morning will again bring potential for frost. Some increasing clouds return on Monday, with temperatures climbing into the upper 60s. These clouds precede a chance for showers and weak thunderstorms on Tuesday, which will keep highs in the upper 60s. Wednesday is drier, with sunshine returning, and highs remaining in the 60s. A better chance for rain returns late Thursday into Friday as another shortwave trough brings a surface low through the plains late next week. Thunderstorms are possible, and temperatures remain mild.
