Tracking abnormally warm weather and storm potential

TONIGHT: I'm tracking a warm evening with temperatures gradually dropping down into the high 50s. Winds will be breezy at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph from the southwest.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking another breezy day with winds from the west at 10-15 mph and gusts up to 20 mph. Plenty of sunshine is expected, which will dry out fuels and pose a fire risk when combined with the breezy winds. This sunshine will also help us warm up into the mid to upper 80s by the afternoon hours on Sunday.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking increasing clouds through Monday, but temperatures are still expected to climb into the mid 80s by the afternoon hours. With this increase in cloud cover, there is also a slight chance (20%) to see isolated storm activity. This increases throughout the evening hours (50-60%), but throughout all of this activity the severe threat is held to a minimum. Attention turns to Tuesday as a cold front passes through Missouri in the afternoon and evenings hours. This will bring a better chance at thunderstorm activity compared to Monday, but there is still uncertainty in the strength and timing of this system. Cooler weather makes a return after this system and a couple more shots at rain are expected before the end of the week.
