Tracking thin high clouds for today’s eclipse

TODAY: Highs in the mid to upper 70s. Thin, wispy clouds will steadily fill in but we're expecting good viewing of the total solar eclipse, occurring locally around 2 p.m.

TOMORROW: Clouds increase early Tuesday morning and a cold front could produce a few isolated showers. This won't impact temperatures much with highs still in the lower 70s.

EXTENDED: A better chance for showers and storms moves in Wednesday into Thursday with a few tenths of an inch possible. The end of the week will be slightly cooler but quiet, with a big warmup coming for the weekend as we reach near 80 degrees.
