Black student group at private Missouri college rallies after report of students using racial slurs
ST. LOUIS (AP) — The Association of Black Students at St. Louis’ Washington University is rallying to support dining hall workers after students last month allegedly threw eggs, stood on tables and used racial slurs in a campus cafeteria. University spokesperson Julie Flory in a Friday statement said the private Missouri school’s policy is not to share details. But she says the school is working with students and others to address concerns. The Association of Black Students organized a Friday sit-in at the cafeteria to write thank-you notes and show support for the primarily racial minority workers who were present during the alleged incident.
