COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Black and Decker garment steamers
Empower Brands has expanded its recall of Black and Decker garment steamers.
The company has recalled 1.6 million steamers because they can spray or leak hot water while in use, posing a burn hazard to users.
Empower Brands expanded the recall after receiving 82 reports of burn injuries, some being second-degree burns, after its first recall in November 2022.
The affected steamers have model numbers of:
- HGS011F
- HGS011S
- HGS011
- HGS011T
The affected steamers were sold at Walmart, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond and other stores nationwide and online from June 2021 to February this year.
Owners are urged to stop using the recalled steamers immediately and contact Empower Brands to get a full refund,
Mainstays electric mini choppers
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says about 52,000 Mainstays electric mini choppers have been recalled.
Federal regulators issued the recall because the choppers's blade can operate unexpectedly while being put together or when it's not in the container, which could cause users to get cut.
The recalled mini choppers were sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online from August 2022 through October 2023.
Users should stop using the choppers immediately and take them to Walmart to get a refund.
Helados Mexico Mini Cream fruit bars variety pack

The product has a best-by date of Oct. 11, 2025, which can be found on the bottom of the product box, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
The company says no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.
