Tracking a cool and breezy weekend

TODAY: Skies remain mostly sunny with highs again in the mid-60s. Winds pick up out of the southwest this afternoon between 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph possible. Even with recent rain, vegetation is strained from long-term drought and low fire risk is present today.

TOMORROW: Sunday sees a cooldown as stout winds switch out of the north. Temperatures will be much more seasonal in the lower 50s.

EXTENDED: Hopefully you've avoided planting this early in the season as an areawide freeze is forecast on Monday morning. Highs will struggle into the upper 40s to kick off the workweek. As conditions remain sunny we quickly rebound to the mid-60s. An active spring pattern picks up again late week with several waves of rain on the horizon.
