Man charged with rape in Arkansas arrested in Jefferson City
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A man who was charged with rape in Arkansas was arrested Wednesday in Jefferson City, according to a Wednesday press release from the Jefferson City Police Department.
Daniel Cooley, 52, was charged in Missouri on Wednesday with being a fugitive from out of state. He is being held at the Cole County Jail without bond. According to Arkansas court records, he was charged with rape in Jacksonville County on Feb. 29. Arkansas court records indicate the sexual assault allegedly occurred on Dec. 9.
Casenet indicates Cooley’s address is in California, Missouri.
Jefferson City police conducted traffic stop on Cooley’s vehicle Wednesday in the 700 block of Missouri Boulevard, the release states. The release states Cooley’s outstanding warrant was for raping a minor.
