Andy Reid reminisces on time spent at Mizzou
MIAMI, Fl. (KMIZ)
As the Kansas City Chiefs’ head coach preps for Super Bowl LIV, he is also reflecting on his time in Mid-Missouri.
Head Coach Andy Reid will be in the spotlight Sunday. He is the winningest head coach to never win a Super Bowl.
If he wins, he will be the first former Mizzou assistant coach to hoist the Lombardi Trophy as a head coach in the National Football League.
Reid took a moment Thursday to reminisce about his time in Mid-Missouri. He said he’ll never forget the good times he had in Columbia, Missouri, where he was the offensive line coach at Mizzou from 1989 to 1991.
“Yeah, I loved my time in Columbia. The University of Missouri I hold close to my heart man that's a great place,” Reid said. “We weren't as good as we wanted to be, but we were on the rise when I was there. I had a chance to play Eric Bieniemy and the Colorado team and they cheated. It took them five downs to beat us."
