Tracking a cloudy afternoon with late week rain

TODAY: Tuesday welcomes highs into the mid-50s as winds remain out of the north at 5-10 mph. Skies remain overcast.

TONIGHT: Overnight lows cool to the lower 40s with mostly cloudy skies. Winds remain out of the north at 4-8 mph.

EXTENDED: Wednesday remains partly cloudy with highs near 60 degrees. Widespread showers and weaker storms pull into Mid-Missouri Thursday morning lasting through Friday night. Rainfall totals amount to between 1"-2" widespread before a dry weekend with highs into the mid to lower 50s.

Chance Gotsch

Chance Gotsch grew up just south of St. Louis and moved to Columbia to attend the University of Missouri to pursue a degree in Atmospheric Sciences.

His interest in weather begin as a child when he used to be afraid of storms.

Chance joined the ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Team in February 2021. He is currently the weekday noon meteorologist.
