Tracking late afternoon/ overnight isolated severe storms

TODAY: Skies remain partly cloudy before showers and storms develop after 5 pm. High reach into the upper 70s. The possibility for a few isolated strong to severe storms occurs after 6 pm this afternoon. The main threats are isolated hail up to 1" in diameter, moderate downpours, and winds up to 60 mph. There is a low but not zero tornado threat tonight that exists in northeastern portions of Mid-Missouri.

TONIGHT: Scattered showers and storms remain across the region along a cold front moving to the east. The severe threat diminishes as the overnight hours continue. Lows cool to the upper 40s.

EXTENDED: Tuesday welcomes a drier with mostly cloudy skies. Highs remain slightly cooler than Monday's back into the lower 60s. Wednesday sees partly cloudy skies with highs into the lower 60s. Thursday and Friday welcomes the possibility for showers and storms that looks to exit before this weekend.
