Tracking a record warmup on the way

TODAY: The weekend starts out seasonal with highs in the lower 50s. Winds will gradually switch out of the southwest sustained at 8-12 mph.

TOMORROW: Sunday sees a sharp warmup with highs in the low 70s. This jump in temperatures will dry out the atmosphere and lend to a low fire risk across the area.

EXTENDED: Monday and Tuesday could break high temperature records for late February as we reach the upper 70s to low 80s. Tuesday welcomes afternoon/overnight chances for showers and storms with the possibility of some isolated severe storms. This will bring a steep but short-lived cooldown late next week.
