Police in standoff with man at Columbia mobile home park

A number of Columbia police officers were seen Monday in the 3900 block of Clark Lane. Police confirmed they were in a standoff with a man.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Police were seen on Monday night at Pine Grove Village mobile home park in the 3900 block of Clark Lane.

A Columbia police officer told an ABC 17 News reporter at the scene that a standoff was taking place. A police spokesperson told ABC 17 News at the scene that officers were called in for a "barricaded subject."

Police say a woman who was in the residence and is now with police. Police described the woman as a victim in the situation. A man is still in the residence and is in a standoff with police. Police have not confirmed if the man has a weapon, but have stated no shots have been fired.

An ABC 17 News reporter saw at least 10 law enforcement officers gathered at a section of the park. A Boone County Sheriff's deputy and a number of Columbia police officers were at the scene.

The Columbia Police Department on its social media asked residents to avoid the area.

"Columbia Police Department is responding to the 3900 block of Clark Lane. Please avoid the area. To avoid traffic please utilize Hanover Boulevard and Rice Road to go around," the post reads.
