KMIZ

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A crash in central Columbia Friday morning shutdown North Providence Road for about a half hour.

Emergency crews responded to the scene at I-70 and North Providence just after 7 a.m.

It's not clear how the crash happened, but Jeff Coffman with the Columbia Fire Department said on scene that a motorcyclist was under a vehicle and taken to the hospital with a leg injury.

Around 7:20 a.m., the motorcycle and car involved in the crash were cleared from the scene and North Providence Road was reopened a few minutes later.

ABC 17 News crews on scene saw two Columbia Police Department vehicles, a Columbia Fire Department truck, one ambulance and two tow trucks.
