Columbia Regional Airport adds additional flight to Chicago and Dallas

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Regional Airport will offer an additional flight to Dallas and Chicago, the airport said in a press release Monday morning.

Beginning on April 4., American Airlines will offer an additional flight to Chicago O'Hare International Airport.

An additional flight to Dallas Fort Worth will begin on June 5.

Each day, travelers will have the option of four flights to Dallas and three flights to Chicago.

Columbia Regional Airport Manager Michael Parks said, "Columbia Regional Airport continues to see increased demand for flight options and an increase in the number of travelers coming through the new terminal."

It's not clear what time the flight will depart COU daily.

The changes could prove to be beneficial for several hundred University of Missouri students. According to a University spokesman approximately 2,700 students from the Chicagoland area are currently enrolled at Mizzou.

Back in October, the airport added a temporary flight to Chicago that lasted a few weeks to see if a new permanent flight should be added.
