Tracking a wide range of temperatures to end the work week
TODAY: Friday will bring a cold front in from the northeast, keeping some cooler than yesterday. We'll have temperatures ranging from the low 50s near Moberly and Mexico, to low 60s near the Lake of the Ozarks. Clouds will be thicker where it's cooler, and more broken in the southwest where it will be warmer.
TONIGHT: Temperatures overnight settle again near 40, which is well above average.
EXTENDED: Saturday is a predominantly dry day, but rain could arrive in the Lake of the Ozarks and Truman Lake region by 7-10 p.m. This rain will slowly work in overnight, and last through Sunday morning. Rain likely only makes it as far north as I-70, with only slim chances for a few showers in Columbia. The best rain will fall south of HWY 50. On Saturday, highs reach near mid 50s, but we will cool to near 50 on Sunday. Drier but still warmer weather remains next week, with sunshine and highs in the low 50s through Wednesday. Rain chances return by late next week.
