Tracking cooler temperatures and a chance for rain this weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with areas of patchy fog and lows in the lower 40s.

TOMORROW: Partly cloudy and breezy with highs in the mid-50s.

EXTENDED: Clouds hold on the rest of the day with a chance for a few sprinkles, but we stay above freezing overnight as morning temperatures fall to the low 40s. A cold front works through Mid-Missouri tomorrow, bringing temperatures down into the 50s by afternoon. We can expect a bit more sunshine despite the cool down. The weekend hasn't changed much with highs in the upper 50s Saturday and a chance for a few showers late. Areas along and south of the Missouri River have the best shot at seeing about 1/4" of rain through Sunday. Sunday is slightly cooler with  highs around 50, but the mild weather sticks around into next week. The pattern is quiet until late next week as temperatures top out in the lower 50s through Thursday. Another system could bring a front through on Thursday into next weekend, adding to our rain chances.
