Man arrested and seriously injured in DWI Camden County crash

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Roach, Mo. man was seriously injured and arrested after a one-vehicle crash on Lower Prairie Hollow Rd. south of Laura Hufferd Rd. on Saturday, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash occurred as a 2006 Chevrolet 1500 - driven by Scott Wallace, 57 - failed to make a curve while heading north. The Chevrolet went off the right side of the road and hit a tree, according to the crash report.

Wallace sustained serious injuries and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance in Osage Beach. He was then life-flighted to University Hospital in Columbia.

He was arrested for being a persistent offender of felony DWI's and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway involving a motor vehicle crash, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest report.

According to the crash report, Wallace was not wearing a seatbelt. The Chevrolet had extensive damage and was secured at the scene, according to the report
