Turnovers doom Mizzou against LSU in SEC opener
BATON ROUGE, La. (KMIZ)
Mizzou Women's Basketball committed 18 turnovers on Thursday night, propelling LSU to a 92-72 win on its home floor. The Baton Rouge Tigers turned Mizzou's giveaways into 29 points in this contest.

After losing Thursday's SEC opener, Mizzou now holds a 9-5 overall record this season.
Mizzou grabbed an early 5-4 lead in the ballgame after a transition three-pointer from Ashton Judd. However, LSU started to pull away after posting a 14-6 scoring run.
Robin Pingeton's crew responded with a 9-0 scoring run of its own to retake the lead 22-20 after a triple from Hayley Frank. After a back-and-forth second quarter, LSU ended the first half on an 8-0 run to take a 39-32 lead into halftime.
After the break, LSU outscored Mizzou 32-17 in the third quarter, extending its lead to 71-49 heading into the final 10 minutes of the game. Mizzou did manage to outscore LSU in the fourth quarter but could not overcome the deficit.
Frank scored a team-high 22 points for Mizzou, hitting 8 of her 19 shots. Mama Dembele and Abby Feit also scored in double figures.
Up next - Mizzou returns to action on Sunday, Jan. 7 against Alabama. Tipoff at Mizzou Arena is scheduled for 5 p.m.
