Britney Spears shoots down album rumors, vowing to ‘never return to the music industry’
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Britney Spears is shooting down rumors of a new album, vowing to “never return to the music industry.” At the same time, Spears noted in Wednesday’s Instagram post, she’s still writing music. She says it’s just for other people. She says she’s written more than 20 songs for others in the past two years and enjoys ghostwriting. Since being released from the infamous conservatorship that controlled her life, money and voice for nearly 14 years, Spears has released two singles in collaboration with Elton John and will.i.am, respectively. Her last full album was 2016’s “Glory.”
