Tracking winter precipitation into this weekend

TONIGHT: Temperatures tonight will be similarly cold, compared to this morning, dropping into the 20s. Winds will remain westerly, but a cold front is on the way for daybreak Wednesday.

TOMORROW: Wednesday sees a slight cool down with highs into the upper 30s as skies remain mostly cloudy. Winds remain out of the northwest at 4-8 mph.

EXTENDED: Thursday sees similar conditions as Wednesday with scattered light showers moving into the region Friday afternoon remaining throughout the overnight hours. Saturday morning sees the potential for a wintry mix with areas to the northwest of highway 70 seeing mostly light snow showers with no travel impacts due to only light snow accumulations on grassy and elevated surfaces. Along and just south of 70 sees a mix of rain and snow. Far southern portions of Mid-Missouri sees mostly rainfall.
