Tracking a rainy Christmas Eve and Christmas morning

TONIGHT: I'm tracking clouds sticking around and the possibility for drizzle decreasing throughout the evening. Temperatures will only fall into the low 50s because of persistent cloud cover.

CHRISTMAS EVE: I'm tracking a cloudy start to the morning with winds picking up from the south at 10-15 mph and gust up to 30 mph. Temperatures will warm into the high 50s and low 60s with the help of these strong southerly winds. Rain will creep in from the west and extend over central Missouri throughout the afternoon, becoming widespread by the evening and lasting through the overnight hours.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a rainy start to Christmas Day with those rain chances exiting to the north throughout the morning and afternoon. By the end of this event, highest rain amounts will be in the west totaling to around 1.25"-1.5". In the Columbia region and further east, rain amounts will be closer to an inch or lower. Mid-MO will start warm, but with the passage of a cold front temperatures will continuously drop throughout Christmas Day. This will set up for average temperatures in the mid to upper 30s taking over Tuesday and lasting throughout the entire week. Tuesday and Wednesday both have a low potential (20%) to see non-impactful flurries.
