Shots fired from vehicle on Business Loop 70, police say

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The roundabout at Business Loop 70 and West Blvd. was closed briefly after several shots were fired from a vehicle, according to Columbia Police Department.

Columbia police responded to reports of shots fired in that area around 12:30 p.m. and shortly after began diverting traffic away from the roundabout. The road was reopened shortly before 1 p.m.

Officers placed several evidence markers down in the roadway of the roundabout.

Columbia Police officers used evidence markers on Business Loop 70.

Police said no injuries were reported.

According to a press release, officers located the victim's vehicle at a nearby hotel with damage from the gunfire.

Officers found contraband inside the victim's vehicle and arrested David Preston Clark, 31, of Columbia for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
