Man accused of driving SUV during Jefferson City church burglary charged
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A man accused of driving a vehicle during a heist of a Jefferson City church in July has been charged with receiving stolen property.
A criminal summons was used for Jayeric Foreman, 25, of Jefferson City, on Monday. An initial court appearance is set for 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Cole County Circuit Court.
According court documents, Lyndell Dale entered a church in July 29 and stole more than $10,000 worth of electronics. A previous probable cause statement claimed Dale took more than $12,000 worth of electronics.
According to previous reporting, a door was unlocked because people were inside for Bible study, according to the probable cause statement. The video allegedly shows Dale taking electronics from the church and bringing them to a wood line on Buena Vista Street several times.
The items were loaded into a GMC Yukon driven by Foreman, according to the statement. The statement says Foreman was found and arrested on Aug. 1.
Foreman claimed he had no knowledge of how the items got into his vehicle, but then allegedly admitted to driving the vehicle during the heist, the statement says.
