Tracking a cool afternoon before a late week warm-up and rain

TODAY: Afternoon highs reach into the mid to upper 30s as wind chills remain into the 20s with winds gusting out of the northwest at up to 27 mph. Skies remain mostly sunny.

TONIGHT: Overnight lows cool to the upper teens and lower 20s with partly cloudy skies. Winds calm out of the northwest at 4-8 mph.

EXTENDED: Tuesday kicks off the warming trend as switch out of the southwest mid-day leading to highs reaching into the mid-40s. Skies become partly cloudy as winds gust into the lower 20s. Highs by mid-week lasting through early next week reach into the mid to upper 50s with scattered shower chances beginning Thursday lasting through Christmas day.
