Tracking bitter wind chills next two nights, late week rain and warm up

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows in the upper 20s. Blustery winds drop wind chills into the upper teens to around 20.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny, cold, and breezy with highs in the upper 30s. Wind chills in the 20s.

EXTENDED: Northwest upper winds will send a cold front through Mid-Missouri tonight into tomorrow, bringing colder than average temperatures and gusty winds to start the week. We remain precipitation-free, but temperatures drop into the upper 20s tonight with wind chills in the upper teens to around 20. Tomorrow is sunny, cold, and breezy with upper high pressure centered overhead, keeping temperatures in the upper 30s. Wind chills will be in the mid-20s through most of the day. As winds begin to shift mid-week, temperatures warm back up into the mid-50s by Wednesday and Thursday. Showers are possible by late Thursday into Friday as another low pressure system enters the area, with 0.25" to 0.5" possible. Over the weekend, a few disturbances will bring chances for rain on Saturday and Sunday, but temperatures stay mild through Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with highs in the mid-upper 50s and lows in the 40s.
