No one hurt in Jefferson City house fire

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The cause of a house fire in Jefferson City is still under investigation.

The Jefferson City Fire Department said there was a fire in the kitchen of a home in the 2,000 block of Meadow Lane at around 3:15 Friday afternoon. The fire department said in a news release, everyone was out of the home when fire crews arrived, and nobody was hurt, although one person is now displaced.

The home has smoke damage on the first and second floors.
