Recall issued for Shakespeare’s frozen pizza at grocery stores

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Shakespeare’s Pizza has issued a recall for all of its frozen pizzas sold at grocery stores, claiming they contain wheat, but it is not declared on the packaging, a Friday press release from the Food and Drug Administration says.

The Columbia company distributes frozen pizza throughout the state of Missouri and parts of Kansas near Kansas City, the release states. No illnesses have been reported.

Recalled products, according to the release, include:

  • 12-inch extra cheese pizza, UPC 686 148 007 370
  • 12-inch vegetarian pizza, UPC 686 148 007 394
  • 12-inch four-cheese pizza, UPC 686 148 000 050
  • 12-inch spinach-artichoke pizza, UPC 686 148 000 043
