A pregnant woman who was put on life support after a Missouri mall shooting has died, police say

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (AP) — Authorities say a pregnant woman who was shot in the head at a Missouri mall last week has died. Police in the Kansas City suburb of Independence confirmed her death Thursday. She had been on life support following a Friday shooting at Independence Center. Police say she was shot in the temple. A police report lists her as four months pregnant. Two others were shot in the leg. A 21-year-old has been charged with armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon in the shooting. Independence police say charges will be updated following the woman’s death.
