Columbia man pleads guilty to statutory sodomy, sentenced 12 years

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man who was charged with statutory sodomy pleaded guilty on Monday.

Jacob Thomas Noel, 36, pleaded guilty to statutory sodomy with a person younger than 14 years old and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. He was given credit for time served and his sentence will run concurrently with all other charges.  

He was accused of assaulting the victim while they were in his care.

Noel was also sentenced on Monday to DWI causing serious physical injury and DWI causing physical injury. He was sentenced to four years. Both charges will run concurrently with his sodomy charge.

He was still listed on the Boone County Jail roster on Tuesday.
