Tracking frigid temperatures and wind chills for Halloween

TODAY: Another cold front will roll through this morning bringing partly cloudy skies and a reinforcement of cold air from the north. By sunrise, our air will be getting colder, drier, and breezier behind this front. Expect wind chills in the teens along and north of I-70 this morning, then a high in the 30s with wind chills in the 20s through the day.

TONIGHT: Trick-or-Treating will be cold with temperatures falling below freezing near sunset with windchills in the 20s. Otherwise, expect winds to relax as we near high pressure. Temperatures likely fall into the teens for most early Wednesday, to put us only a few degrees away from record cold.

EXTENDED: South winds return Wednesday afternoon. This will warm us into the 40s Wednesday, 50s Thursday, and then 60s through the weekend. We'll stay dry with fair weather clouds through Friday, with some slim chances for rain showing up on Saturday, then possibly again on Monday. Timing is still largely uncertain in the upper level features that drive this, so keep an eye on the weekend as we get closer.
