Tracking dry and cold air ahead of a warm up this week

TODAY: Monday is a bright day, with skies clearing behind the steady rain from over the weekend. Temperatures will start in the 20s and 30s, before climbing around 10-15 degrees into the low 40s.

TONIGHT: Clear skies remain into the overnight, but clouds may return from the north as soon as sunrise. Depending on how close moisture can get from a wrapping low to our northeast. What was once a clear forecast is turning a bit cloudier as higher resolution data is starting to suggest that clouds may materialize as far south as mid-Missouri. Either way, we likely cool well into the 20s by Tuesday morning.

EXTENDED: With clouds possibly arriving by sunrise, we'll keep at least partly cloudy skies in the forecast along with highs in the 30s. Trick-or-Treat hours will likely be in the low 30s, near or below freezing. Clouds will begin to clear by late Tuesday, allowing us to cool overnight. This drops temperatures into the low 20s and upper teens Wednesday morning. We're seeing more sunshine and warming into the 40s on Wednesday, and warming further into the 50s and 60s by Thursday and Friday respectively. We'll be partly cloudy over the weekend, with highs near to above average.
