No injuries reported in vehicle fire on Route E in Boone County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

No injuries were reported Friday after a vehicle caught fire at the intersection of Route E and West Wilcox Road, according to a social media post from the Boone County Fire Protection District.

First responders were dispatched at 5:31 p.m. and the intersection was briefly shut down while firefighters worked, according to the post.

BCFPD stated heavy smoke was seen from a pickup truck.
